Alliance Renovations is a Calgary concrete contractor that started in 2008 doing all kinds of concrete. Today the crew pours garage slabs, aprons, sidewalks, pads and patios, plus the concrete under every Alliance garage, suite and addition. Concrete is the first thing poured and the last thing anyone wants to redo. A slab that is graded and finished right keeps water moving away from the garage and stays flat for years.
Because Alliance pours its own garage slabs, the same crew that builds on the concrete is the one that poured it.

Concrete on your own lot is one thing. Driveway crossings and sidewalks on City land have their own rules.
No permit is needed to replace an existing driveway. Building a new one or widening it may need a development permit, though "In most cases, a building permit would not be required."

Yes. Alliance pours the slab under every garage it builds, and pours slabs and aprons for homeowners who only need the concrete. The company started in 2008 as a concrete contractor, so the slab is the part of a garage build it has done the longest.
Alliance builds garages through Calgary winters, and Gus wrote that it was the only company he contacted that could build his garage in winter. Cold weather concrete needs protection while it cures, so timing is planned on the assessment. Mention your timeline when you ask for a quote.
A driveway on your own lot is different from one that crosses the City boulevard or sidewalk. Crossings onto City land have their own rules in Calgary; see the City rules on this page, and Alliance will check what applies to your address on the assessment.
Plain concrete gets a broom or smooth finish and is the usual choice for garage slabs, aprons and sidewalks. Stamped concrete is pressed with a pattern and often coloured, for patios, walkways and pool decks. Alliance does both; see the designer concrete page for stamped work.
